PASSIVE TO ACTIVE CONSUMERS
Questions are never ending as much as we provide answers. The big question is are we asking the right questions in our world.
Why is it that we can easily book flight to any city in the world, find and compare prices in seconds, yet we can’t just as quickly and easily find alternative ways to managing medical conditions?
How is it that we can get bottles of coke to rural dwellers and not medications? How do we explain “over a billion people lack access to life saving medicines”?
How do we explain why “1 in 10 people pickup infections while receiving healthcare”(WHO)? How do we explain
“Over 100 million pushed into poverty by healthcare cost”? Yet cigarettes are so affordable? How do we explain why a pharmaceutical company produces live savung medications for one hundred million people while over (1.1) billion persons are uncared for?
It is expected that the world cannot back a system that denies 80% of the populace access to medicines. I guess we are wrong. And the questions goes on, yet the most significant question is what can we do about these abnormalities?
We all need to start asking the questions that can change our lives. We need to stop been passive and get active, questioning how we are cared for by our doctors, hospitals, HMO;s, NHIS,the government and all stakeholders.
This is why we have commenced the PAC, a community of Passive to active consumers asking the right questions and doing the needful for improved healthcare service
